How Cram treats your files.

Faithful to what you gave it, honest about what it didn't find, and never public. Here's what happens to a file from the moment you add it.

Three promises

What every guide is held to.

It says what it didn't find.

Anything the unit needs that your files never covered is flagged as added, so you know to check it with your teacher.

Added

Faithful to your files.

Guides are written from digests of your documents. Cram is told not to invent material, and the quiz is drawn from the guide, not the internet.

Yours to share, never public.

A shared guide lives behind an unlisted link and an optional PIN. Nothing is indexed. Stop sharing any time and the link goes dead.

Follow a file

What happens to a file.

Five stops, from the moment you add it to the moment you delete it.

  1. 1You add a file.Your documents, or photos of pages and homework — from your phone or from the website.
  2. 2It's read where you are.Text is read from your documents on your device (in the app) or in your browser (on the web) and sent to an AI model to write your notes and guides. Nothing you upload is used to train any model.
  3. 3The digest stays in your account. What Cram reads, the digests and your guides are stored in your account so they can be reused — a file you've already added is never read, or charged for, twice. The original stays on your device unless you choose “Keep a copy in your account”.
  4. 4Never public.Share a guide and it lives behind an unlisted link and an optional PIN. It's never indexed, and it stops working when you turn sharing off.
  5. 5Yours to delete.Download everything Cram has about you, or delete your account and everything in it, including files you stored.
