  • Cram is made by Rivon Dev LLC (“Rivon”, “we”). Use it to study from material you're allowed to use. Only upload things you have the right to use for your own studying, and follow your school's rules about AI.
  • Cram's notes, guides and answers are written by AI. They can be wrong or leave things out. They're a place to start studying from — not an answer key, and not a replacement for your teacher.
  • Cram is in beta. Things will change, and some things may break. Keep your own copies of anything important.
  • Students under 13 need verified permission from a parent or guardian before using study features. Be kind, and don't post other people's personal information.

Agreeing to these terms. These Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy are the agreement between you and Rivon Dev LLC for using Cram on the website and in the app. You agree to them when you tick “I agree” while making an account, when you continue with Google under the line that says so, or when you use Cram. If you don't agree, please don't use Cram. If you're under 18, read these terms with a parent or guardian — they should understand them too. We keep a record of when you agreed and which version you agreed to.

Who can use Cram. Cram is for people in the United States. Tell us the true year you were born when Cram asks. If you're under 13, a parent or guardian must give verified permission before Cram collects anything from you or you can use its study features, and they can take that permission back at any time. If your school has consented to Cram for class use, you can use Cram for school work while you're a member of one of its teachers' classes, until a parent decides; a parent who says no overrides the school. Teachers and parents use their own accounts. Keep your sign-in to yourself — you're responsible for what happens on your account, and should tell us at support@rivondev.com if you think someone else is using it.

Cram is in beta. Cram is still being built and tested. Features may change, move, stop working for a while, or be removed, and we may change or end free accounts and their limits. We work hard not to lose anything, but in a beta it can happen — keep your own copies of class materials and anything else important. You can download your data at any time. Beta testers help by sending anonymous quality data by default; it can be turned off in Settings › Your class. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Cram without owing you anything for them.

AI can be wrong. Cram's notes, study guides, flashcards, practice questions, lesson narration and answers are written by AI models (the Privacy Policy explains who processes your information to do this). AI can misread a file, get facts, quotes, page numbers or math wrong, leave out something important, or sound sure when it isn't. Check anything that matters against your class materials, your book and your teacher. Cram is a study helper, not a substitute for your teacher, your class or your own reading, and nothing it says is medical, legal, mental-health or other professional advice. The first time Cram needs to send your work to an AI model, it asks; you can change your answer in Settings › Privacy. If an answer is wrong, tell Cram with “This is wrong” so we can fix it.

Studying honestly. Use Cram to learn and to study — not to cheat. Follow your school's and your teacher's rules about AI tools. Don't use Cram during a test or quiz unless your teacher says you may, and don't hand in Cram's writing or answers as your own work where that isn't allowed. If you're not sure what's allowed, ask your teacher. Your school's rules apply to you whether or not Cram can enforce them.

Your uploads and copyright. You keep ownership of what you upload — notes, handouts, slides, photos, recordings and the like. Rivon doesn't claim ownership of it. You give Rivon permission to store, copy, process and display it, and to send it to the service providers listed in the Privacy Policy, only as needed to run Cram for you and in the limited ways the Privacy Policy describes (for example, if another student at your school uploads the exact same document, Cram may reuse the AI's reading of it, without either of you learning who the other is). You may use what Cram makes from your files for your own studying.

Only upload material you have the right to use for your own study — your own notes and work, and material your teacher or school gave you for your class. Some material, like a novel, a textbook or a published test, belongs to its author or publisher. Uploading it to Cram does not give you or anyone else the right to copy or share it, so don't use Cram to republish, sell or share copyrighted material, including through shared guide links or study groups. Don't upload anything you've agreed to keep private (like a test your teacher told you not to share), and don't upload other people's personal information you don't need for studying.

Using Cram well. Don't use Cram to bully, harass, threaten, impersonate or embarrass anyone, or to post hateful, violent or sexually explicit content. Don't share other people's personal information — private details, addresses, phone numbers, photos of other people, grades or anything else private — without their permission, and never about a classmate. Don't break the law with Cram, upload malware, try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, test or get around Cram's security, age screen or usage limits, scrape Cram or use bots to access it, or resell it. There is no tolerance for abusive, harassing, hateful or sexually explicit display names, guide titles or shared content. Every report is reviewed; content that breaks these rules is removed, and we may suspend or close the account that posted it. You can report or hide anything you see in the app — press and hold a leaderboard row or a shared guide — or write to support@rivondev.com.

Chats and messages. Study groups have a chat, and people in a group together can message each other directly. Keep it kind and about school: no bullying, harassment, threats, hate, sexual content, or sharing anyone's personal details. Every message is checked automatically before it's sent, and messages that break these rules aren't delivered. Press and hold any message to report it or block the person who sent it; blocked people can't message you and their messages disappear for you. We review every report, and anyone who breaks these rules is removed from groups and chat. By creating or joining a group, or sending a message, you agree to these rules.

Teachers, classes and schools. A teacher can make a Cram class and invite students to join it with a code. If you join, your teacher can see what the Privacy Policy lists under “Your teacher's class”. Teachers: you're responsible for following your school's and district's policies about which online tools students may use and what permission is needed, for only uploading class materials you have the right to share with your students, and for not uploading students' personal information Cram doesn't need. When a school or district signs an agreement with Rivon, that agreement controls how student information is handled where it differs from these terms, and the school decides who can see what within it.

Schools that consent for parents. A school or district can consent, in place of each parent, to Cram collecting what it needs from students under 13 in its own teachers' classes for school use, as the COPPA rule allows. A school or district that does so represents that it is authorized to give that consent, that it has given parents the notice the law requires, and that it will handle parents' requests to review or delete their child's information. Cram relies on that representation: the school or district is responsible for that authorization, and agrees to indemnify Rivon against claims arising from Cram's reliance on it.

Plans and credits. Free accounts cost nothing and come with limits that may change during the beta. Subscriptions are bought and billed through Apple in the iPhone app, and are canceled from your Apple account settings. Monthly credits reset on the first; purchased credits never expire.

Ending your account. You can delete your account at any time; its content is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk, and we'll tell you why when we can.

Changes and questions. We may change these terms. When a change matters, we'll update the date at the top, tell you on the website or in the app before it takes effect, and ask you to agree again where needed. Questions, problems or a complaint about something on Cram: support@rivondev.com.
